Swimming Starts Tomorrow

 

This term we commence our swimming lessons

This week in 2 Navy:

Workshops

In reading and writing workshops we are focusing on our reading strategies and questioning and inferencing skills. Daily we are completing writing tasks to build our writing stamina with flash writing.  We are following a writing process this term to write persuasive texts. Our Shared Text this week was 'Why I love Australia'.  Ask your child one amazing thing they can find in Australia? Our grammar focus was grammar pronouns. In Maths we are continuing daily number sense, number patterns and completed our Zoo Project.

Religion

This term we are learning about the Jesus' teachings through scripture and how we can through Missions in our community, live out Jesus' teachings.  This week we connected with the Catholic Missions and their mission in our society today.

 

Unit Work

This week we continue to explore the world in which we live.  We will study a number of countries in our world and complete a fact sheet, to help us design and create a Travel Brochure.  This week we published our brochures.
