A
little bit about Mrs Cameron.........
I’m
Mrs Cameron, a teacher at St. Bernardine's Catholic Primary School. This
is my 15th year at St. Bernardine's and I am very excited about
taking on the challenges this year will offer.
I completed my undergraduate degree in Primary Education at Australian Catholic University and have also received my Post-Grad Diploma in Early Years Learning.
Within
the classroom I try to incorporate hands-on learning, reading,
writing and mathematics, class investigations, whole group
and individual learning. I believe that the primary years of
education should equip each child with the necessary skills to ensure
success at the next level of schooling. Another major aspect of
my classroom is to ensure valuable partnerships with home and school
to foster each child's love for learning.
My
classroom experiences have taught me that for children to succeed in learning,
they must experience success everyday – at home and at school. By working in
partnership with you and your child, we can create a love of school and a love
of learning. I value communication with parents very highly and I encourage all
parents to become familiar with the information page. This will
assist us in maintaining positive and beneficial parent-teacher relationships.
When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time in the outdoors or relaxing at the beach. I also enjoy listening to music, watching movies and spending time with my husband and my two beautiful children Taylah 11 and Harry 8, they definitely keep me busy.
I am looking forward to getting to know you all and am ready for the adventures that 2018 will present to us.
A little bit about Mr Fernando...................
Hello! My name is Anthony
Fernando and I am really excited to be part of the St Bernadine’s Catholic
Community in 2018 teaching 2 Green.
I have been teaching for 8 years, this
being my 9th, I have always taught the upper years however last
year I began teaching for the first time in the early years where I taught
Grade 2. I have spent 3 years teaching in a small town called Boonah at All
Saints’ Catholic Primary then I headed off to the beautiful bayside to serve
the community of St Rita’s Catholic Primary at Victoria Point for 5 years.
Our
class will be singing heaps this year as I am a classically trained singer and
I am an active parishioner at both churches at Darra and Jindalee.
I also love
sports and technology and hopefully I will not only equip your child with great
literacy and numeracy skills but also skills using technology in the 21st Century. I
look forward to meeting all of you throughout the year and teaching your child
in 2018!
