Swimming

This week all communication about swimming lessons for Term 4 was sent home.  There are two sections that need to be filled in and returned as soon as possible.  Thank you for your support!

Portfolios

I hope you enjoyed reading your child's portfolio.  Please return them as soon as possible in Term 4 in preparation for the end of the year.  Thank you!

Holidays

Thank you for your support throughout Term 3!  We have had a wonderful Term of Learning and I am looking forward to a busy Term 4.

Week 9 News

Celebration of Learning

Celebration of Learning Evening is Wednesday the 13th of September.  You are invited to the classroom from 6pm - 7pm for your child to show you all the wonderful learning they have been doing.  Please note this is not a time to discuss your child's progress.  If you would like to meet to discuss your child's progress please email me to organise a meeting time.  My email is rcameron@bne.catholic.edu.au.  Thank you.

This week in 2 Navy:

Workshops

In reading and writing workshops we are focusing on our reading strategies and questioning and inferencing skills. Daily we are completing writing tasks to build our writing stamina with flash writing.  We are following a writing process this term to create a Narrative. Our grammar focus was antonyms. In Maths we are continuing daily number sense, number patterns.

Religion

We are learning about forgiveness.  This week we learnt about the Sacrament of Reconciliation and how we can use this to heal our relationship with God.

 

Unit Work

This week we have started to explore water and how it is a natural resource in our world!  We follow Whizzy the Water Droplet on a journey to learn how we can conserve water at home and at school.
