Week 5 News

This week in 2 Navy:

Workshops
In reading and writing workshops we are focusing on our reading strategies and retell skills. Daily we are completing writing tasks to build our writing stamina.  Our focus this week was on adding adjectives to the beginning section of our recounts.  We will use our high 5 hand to check our sentences.  Our shared text this week was Pamela Allen favourite 'Danny the Daft Dog'.  Ask your child if Danny enjoyed the hot chilli sauce? Our grammar focus was adjectives.  In Maths we are continuing daily number fact practice, number patterns and exploring the concept of half.

Religion
We continue to build on our understanding of who God is and what creation means to me for our Stewardship of Creation Unit.  We will reflect our understanding this week through illustration and prayer.

Unit Work
We continue to explore Logan over time in our HASS unit.  Our excursion was a lot of fun.  The children were able to explore the history of Logan in an interactive and informative manner.
