Swimming Starts Tomorrow
 
This term we commence our swimming lessons

Monday 6th November - 1pm
Wednesday 8th November - 10am
 
 
What to Bring:
 
swimming togs
swimming cap
towel
suitable footwear to walk to and from the bus
a t-shirt to cover swimwear
sunscreen
 

This week in 2 Navy:

Workshops
In reading and writing workshops we are focusing on our reading strategies and questioning and inferencing skills. Daily we are completing writing tasks to build our writing stamina with flash writing.  We are following a writing process this term to write persuasive texts. Our Shared Text this week was 'The Pigeon Wants a Puppy!'  Ask your child one reason why the pigeon should get a puppy? Our grammar focus was grammar adverbs. In Maths we are continuing daily number sense, number patterns and inquiry was all about turns.

Religion
This term we are learning about the Jesus' teachings through scripture and how we can through Missions in our community, live out Jesus' teachings.  This week we connected with the Catholic Missions and their mission in our society today.
 

Unit Work
This week we continue to explore the world in which we live.  We will study a number of countries in our world and complete a fact sheet, to help us design and create a Travel Brochure.  This week we started to plan our brochure.

This term we are learning about the Jesus' teachings through scripture and how we can through Missions in our community, live out Jesus' teachings.  This week we explored the scripture story of Jesus Heals Two Blind Men and it's message.

This week we continue to explore the world in which we live.  We will study a number of countries in our world and complete a fact sheet, to help us design and create a Travel Brochure.  This week we looked at America, India, Italy, China and Africia.

This week we have started to explore the world in which we live.  We located our place in space and focused on understanding what our world is made up of.  We explored, the oceans, continents and hemispheres.
