Sight Words

We ask that you do not mark the children's sight word books.  We will mark the books each week.  Could you please ensure to continually go over all the popcorn words, even the ones that are marked as known, as children forget very quickly.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Workshops
This week our big book in reading workshops was Chick's don't say quack.  Ask your child who the chick scared away?  In reading and writing workshops we have explored the long vowel sound ie and phonologically, we are learning to rhyme production.  In Maths workshops we are learning about the number 9 and its name (nine) and patterning. Our concept this week has been ordering events within a week.

Unit Work

This week we have started to look at Healthy Eating.  We explored the food groups and created our own healthy lunchboxes.  We had to decide if they were always foods or sometimes foods.

Religion

In Religion this Term we are exploring the parts of a Church.  Our Church Tour is now ready for you to watch.  Just click on the Church Tours tab.

Our Value this week is forgiveness.
