Workshops
In reading and writing workshops we are focusing on our reading strategies and retell skills. Daily we are completing writing tasks to build our writing stamina.  We are following a writing process this term to create a Recount. Each class has different shared text for the week. Ask your child to what the main idea in their story was?  Our grammar focus was verbs. In Maths we are continuing daily number sense, number patterns and we had a focus week on money.

Religion
We are learning how we can be like Jesus, in particular through the Season of Lent.  We will explore and pose questions about Jesus and make connections with how we can be like Jesus in our lives.

Unit Work
This week we explored our Science focus of Push and Pull.  The students rotated through a number of work stations completing hands on activities.  They will put this theory to the test through the construction of a Paper Plane.  We wonder whose paper plane will travel the furthest......
