This week in 2 Navy:

Workshops

In reading and writing workshops we are focusing on our reading strategies and questioning and inferencing skills. Daily we are completing writing tasks to build our writing stamina with flash writing.  We are following a writing process this term to write persuasive texts. Our Shared Text this week was 'The Day the Crayons Quit!'  Ask your child why the blue crayon needed a break? Our grammar focus was grammar in persuasive texts. In Maths we are continuing daily number sense, number patterns and inquiry was all about fractions.

Religion

This term we are learning about the Jesus' teachings through scripture and how we can through Missions in our community, live out Jesus' teachings.  This week we explored the scripture story of Jesus Heals Two Blind Men and it's message.

 

Unit Work

This week we continue to explore the world in which we live.  We will study a number of countries in our world and complete a fact sheet, to help us design and create a Travel Brochure.  This week we looked at America, India, Italy, China and Africia.
