This week in 2 Navy:

Workshops

In reading and writing workshops we are focusing on our reading strategies and questioning and inferencing skills. Daily we are completing writing tasks to build our writing stamina with flash writing.  We are following a writing process this term to write persuasive texts. Our grammar focus was phrasing. In Maths we are continuing daily number sense, number patterns and inquiry was all about positional language.

Religion

This term we are learning about the Jesus' teachings through scripture and how we can through Missions in our community, live out Jesus' teachings.  This week we explored the scripture story of Jesus Walking on Water.  We identified the key message of faith. 

 

Unit Work

This week we have started to explore the world in which we live.  We located our place in space and focused on understanding what our world is made up of.  We explored, the oceans, continents and hemispheres.
