This term students have been given a homework task to complete an Oral Presentation. There is a detailed letter in the front of their homework book, explain the task. This week in 2 Navy:
Workshops
In reading and writing workshops we are focusing on our reading strategies and questioning and inferencing skills. Daily we are completing writing tasks to build our writing stamina with flash writing. We are following a writing process this term to create a Narrative. Our shared text this week was Paw Prints on the Magic Sofa . Ask your child what did the magic sofa did? Our grammar focus was articles. In Maths we are continuing daily number sense, number patterns and we explored money.
Religion
We are learning about forgiveness. We explored forgiveness through the Gospel of Luke and how we can following Jesus footsteps to show forgiveness.
Unit Work
This week we have begun our Science Unit. We explore who, how and what a mixture is? Ask your child what mixture was the wizard and chef making?
As a class we have developed six questions we will use during our investigations. I ask that you spend time discussing these inquiry questions with your child to build their knowledge and understanding of mixtures.
