Week 2 News

This week in 2 Navy:

Workshops
In reading and writing workshops we are focusing on our reading strategies and retell skills. Daily we are completing writing tasks to build our writing stamina.  Our focus this week was on sentence structure.  We will use our high 5 hand to check our sentences.  Our shared text this week was Pamela Allen favourite 'Who Sank the Boat?' to help identify with our Soundwaves unit b, bb.  Our grammar focus was nouns.  In Maths we are continuing daily number fact practice and identifying and continuing counting patterns.

Religion
We are building our class vision and focusing on the Franciscan Five of Service, Humility, Peacemaking, Collegiality and Contemplation.  Watch our Class Vision Statement tab!

Unit Work
We have continued working through our Daniel Morcombe Unit.  We are using the words recognise, react and report.  We have discussed show to recoginse and react to safe and unsafe situations.  How to listen to our bodies to help recognise and react to a safe and unsafe situations.  We also discussed our bodies and safe people we can report too.
