Workshops
Our big book this week was Edward and Edwina. Ask your child to name one animal Edward became at the zoo? In reading and writing workshops we have explored the 'en' word family and phonologically, we are learning to blend our letters to make new sounds. We will have a strong focus on this skill for the remainder fo the year. The children will refer to this as using our Chunky Monkey, to help sound out (decode) and write words. In Maths workshops we are learning about the number 6 and its name (six) and continuing a number of mathematical skills.

Religion
This week we started to explore the Infancy Narraitve from the Gospel of Matthew. We have spent time looking at the key characters and events. We will make a christmas card to show our learning from the Gospel of Matthew.
Unit Work
This week we shared our special celebration photos. The children named the celebration, explained something they did on the day and why it was important to their family.
