Arriving Late

Unfortuantley Prep White has a number of chidren who are constantly arriving to school late.  Can you please try to have your child at school no later than 8.35am, as they are missing the beginning of each day and learning is occuring.  If you are late on occassions, can you please make sure you sign in at the office.

Thank you for your support.

Sight Words

We ask that you do not mark the children's sight word books.  We will mark the books each week.  Could you please ensure to continually go over all the popcorn words, even the ones that are marked as known, as children forget very quickly.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Workshops
Our big book this week was The Farm Concert.  Ask your child why the farmer yelled quiet? In reading and writing workshops we have explored the 'qu' sound and phonologically, we are learning to segement and blend CVC words.  In Maths workshops we are learning about the number 9 and its name (nine). Our investigation this week has been exploring the language of measurement.  Students have used the words heaviest and lightest when comparing objects.

Our Value this week is Courtesy.
