School photo forms have been sent home.  Please return the completed envelope ASAP.

SCHOOL PHOTOS!Please wear your blue school socks!
For ease on the day please refrain from dressing your child in stockings, tights or tracksuit pants.
You can send your child with tracksuit pants packed so they can put them back on afterwards if they want.

Sight Words

We ask that you do not mark the children's sight word books.  We will mark the books each week.  Could you please ensure to continually go over all the popcorn words, even the ones that are marked as known, as children forget very quickly.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Workshops
This week our big book in reading workshops was The Pigeon Wants a Puppy? Ask your child if the Pigeon really wanted a Puppy?  In reading and writing workshops we have explored the letters j and w and phonologically, we are learning to segement and blend CVC words.  In Maths workshops we are learning about the number 2 and its name (two). Our investiagtion this week has been using positional language in our playground.  Ask your child how did they get Rosie through our obstacle course?

Unit Work

We are working on our English Unit 'Who is it?'  Each week we will write three clues about our character of the week and share them on Twitter. Did you guess our character this week?  We explored the season of Autumn in Science and created some amazing art work.  Look on Twitter for photos of our creations.

Religion

We have started our unit Hereos of the Bible.  This week we looked at the story of Joseph and why he is a hero.  We also spent many hours practicing our Mass for Grandparent's Day and I am very proud of the efforts from all of the children.

Our Value this week is Inclusion.
