Arriving Late

Unfortuantley Prep White has a number of chidren who are constantly arriving to school late.  Can you please try to have your child at school no later than 8.35am, as they are missing the beginning of each day and learning is occuring.  If you are late on occassions, can you please make sure you sign in at the office.

Thank you for your support.

Sight Words

We ask that you do not mark the children's sight word books.  We will mark the books each week.  Could you please ensure to continually go over all the popcorn words, even the ones that are marked as known, as children forget very quickly.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Workshops
This week our big book in reading workshops was 'Eeny, Meeny, Miney Mouse.  Ask your child why the mouse had to find another house?  In reading and writing workshops we have explored the long vowel sound oa and phonologically, we are learning to rhyme production.  In Maths workshops we are learning about the number 8 and its name (eight) and patterning. Our concept this week has been ordering events within a day.

Unit Work
This week we have started to look at Healthy Eating.  We explored the food groups and searched for food in magazines.  We had to decide if they were always foods or sometimes foods.

Religion
In Religion this Term we are exploring the parts of a Church.  Our Church Tour is now ready for you to watch.  Just click on the Church Tours tab.

Our Value this week is forgiveness.
